Thin, Chewy Version

  • 120 g butter
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 396 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp molasses
  • salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 90 g all-purpose flour
  • 120 g chocolate chips

Thick, Cakey Version

  • 120 g butter
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 396 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp molasses
  • salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 whole egg
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 120 g chocolate chips

Instructions

Thin, Chewy Version

  1. Get your oven heating to 160°C. Line your pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a pot. Add cocoa powder and let boil. Remove from heat.
  3. Whisk in condensed milk, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, molasses, and egg yolk.
  4. Whisk in flour. Add chocolate chips if desired. Bake for 30-40 min. Let cool before cutting.

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Line pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a pot. Add cocoa powder and let boil. Remove from heat.
  3. Whisk in condensed milk, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, molasses, egg, and baking powder.
  4. Whisk in flour. Add chocolate chips if desired. Bake for 30-40 min. Let cool before cutting.
