Instructions
- Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and separate the yolks.
- Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until peaks form.
- Add powdered sugar and continue beating for about five minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave.
- Mix in cocoa powder, vanilla, salt, additional chocolate chips, and egg yolks if using.
- Combine chocolate mixture with meringue.
- Scoop batter onto parchment paper-lined sheet pan.
- Bake at 180°C until surfaces crack and edges brown, about 15 minutes.
- Cool completely before removing from paper.
