- salt
- barbecue spice mix (optional)
- kimchi powder (optional)
- barbecue sauce (optional)
- cilantro (optional)
- red onions (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
- shredded cheddar (optional)
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
- Spread the chickpeas on a microwave-safe plate and microwave them for 5 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the oil.
- Add the microwaved chickpeas to the pan and cook until crispy, stirring occasionally.
- Season the chickpeas with salt and your choice of spices (barbecue spice mix or kimchi powder).
- Optional: Add barbecue sauce and toss to coat the chickpeas.
- Optional: Garnish with cilantro, red onions, sour cream, or shredded cheddar.
Notes
Microwaving the chickpeas first makes them crispier with less cooking time.
