Fried Chicken Tender

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 900 g chicken tenders (or boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into strips)
  • 120 ml buttermilk
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • Salt, pepper, cayenne powder to taste
  • Flaky Sea Salt for Serving
  • 120 ml Canola Oil

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk the buttermilk and eggs. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne powder until smooth.
  2. In a gallon freezer bag, combine flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne powder.
  3. Place a large skillet with canola oil on low heat.
  4. Dredge the chicken tenders in the buttermilk and egg mixture, then coat with flour.
  5. Heat the oil on medium-high, then fry the tenders in batches until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Transfer the fried tenders to a paper-towel lined plate, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top if desired, and keep warm.
