Porkbelly Adobo

Ingredients

  • 500 g Pork Belly
  • Oil
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 180 ml Water
  • 2 Bay Leaves

Instructions

  1. Use pork belly or lean meat skin on.
  2. Heat oil, add 2 tbsp brown sugar.
  3. While sugar starts to bubble and melt, add crushed garlic, cook until fragrant.
  4. Put in meat, stir until meat is coated with the melted sugar.
  5. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce.
  6. Stir and add water.
  7. Add Bay Leaves.
  8. Taste and adjust saltiness.
  9. Cook over low heat until meat is very tender.
