Instructions
- Roughly dice the green bell peppers, green jalapenos, and onion. Reserve a quarter of the diced onion.
- Sautรฉ the peppers and quarter onion in a skillet on high heat until lightly blistered and toasty. Then add them to the blender cup.
- Add raw onion, garlic, salt, honey, and lime juice to the blender cup.
- Blend everything until smooth, transfer to a container, and let it cool down.
- Finely dice a tomato and chop some cilantro.
- Mix the diced tomato and chopped cilantro into the cooled-down salsa. Adjust the salt level to taste.
Notes
Jalapeรฑos are the ideal choice, but green bell peppers can be used as a substitute.
Tomatillos can be replaced with a firm, green kiwi in this recipe.
